The Hardman series is a re-release of a 1970’s era series. Like the other reviewer says, the book is a product of it’s time. Listeners are made aware that some aspects of the book are not P.C. by contemporary standards.
Hardman is a disgraced Atlanta cop doing his best to navigate the line between legitimate private investigation and the rougher parts of Atlanta. The mystery is tight and the characters are well written (flawed, yet well intentioned).
If you like a gritty, urban setting and rough around the edges characters, you’ll like this story. This book is well written and definitely worth a listen.
The narration is excellent.
