Felix and Lane are back, just as entertaining and crazy as before. Well, Felix has the handle on the crazy- he cracks me up. But he also makes me cry, what a life he had before Lane. And we get to see more of that life in this book, a whole lot more. His childhood and home life was heartbreaking. I’m so glad he has Lane on his side now, because he needed him more than ever.

This book went from humourous to heartbreaking, to causing all kinds of anxiety.

Ms. Winters really had me on edge. I’d be laughing at Felix’s antics with Lane one minute, and the next I’d be stressing out. And that last hour had to have been the most harrowing hour of a book I’ve listened to thus far. I was so tempted to just speed through it, to get to the end, but I held off. But my God, talk about creeped out and freaked out. Poor Felix!

But I was so impressed with him, he really persevered and showed us what he’s made of and what a big heart he has- I just love him.

Joel Leslie really brough his A game with this one. I mean, he was fantastic as always, but that last hour or so- man. He had me feeling EVERYTHING Felix was going through. I swear my heart was in my throat the entire time. He brought the creep factor and had me living the anxiousness right along with Felix. What an awesome job.
