Flux is written by Jeremy Robinson. Flux tells the story of Owen McCoy. Own is a retired Marine, who has returned to his Appalachian home as Head of security for Synergy. The mysterious tech company is conducting research experiments. We meet Owen as he is faced with a gun by a masked teen looking for drugs. Owen offers him a plate of food he had waiting for the young man while offering sage life advice. Together they head out on Owens normal rounds patrolling the perimeter fence when things go wrong.

The story does a truly amazing job of holding the listener’s attention through the entire book. Mr. Robinson has crafted a fantastic tale of Science Fiction, Time Travel, and Thriller. The combination of the elements and the different take on the standard Time Travel tropes makes for a great thrill ride. The action-packed story as the characters movements through time are just incredible, the heartache, and thrilling journey. The story shows how building relationships based on trust, friendship, and family are the keys to survival.

The narration is provided by Jeffrey Kafer. Mr. Kafer brings his skilled vocal quality to this audio production and delivers another outstanding performance. The production quality of this audiobook is also the highest quality. I heard no problems during the entire performance. There were not any detectable flaws that I was able to hear during the entire performance such as loops, breaks, or buzzing. The production was crisp and clear. Breakneck Media and HighGravity Productions delivered an excellent audiobook production. I requested an advanced copy of the audiobook version of this book in exchange for this honest review.
