I throughly enjoyed ‘Plague’ and I very much look forward to book 2! I liked this book right away. The idea of having a former Australian Special Forces soldier turned African game warden is already fascinating to me. Add to that the relationship this former solider has with his sister and fellow animal protectors and you’ve got yourself a fun and action packed zombie thriller.
Though, there are nazi’s in this zombie book. Personally, I think nazi’s and zombies as a pair have been over done. I KNOW if we try hard enough, we can come up with some historical bad guys that are something other than nazi’s. That said, I could accept it since this book had a campy feel to it already. Maxwell Zener does a great job with the narration, in particular the different accents he had to master. I would recommend this book to anyone who might enjoy a zombie thriller set in Africa (but again, nazi’s).
