When I first started this collection, I almost returned it after the first hour. It started out like I was coming in on the middle of a movie – I felt like I’d missed something. I stuck with it through the first mission, though, on the strength of the review that said if you liked Firefly, you’ll like this. My persistence was richly rewarded. Eventually the back-story was filled in on the crew and characters, and I was cruising right along with the crew.

I listen on my drive to and from work and my long lunchtime walks, and I always hated to see those chunks of time come to an end, because it was just so engaging. Mikael Naramore’s voice must be made of elastic, because he had a (mostly) distinguishable voice for each of the many characters. Only the female characters were occasionally tricky to distinguish one from the other.

I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone not having yet listened, so I won’t go into commentary on the stories themselves. Each had it’s own special twist which I was only occasionally able to predict.
