I think this is my favorite book in this series so far. L.L. Akers turns things up a notch, with the dangers increasing and the plot thickening. The main characters, so well described in the previous books, are now like real people to the reader. They become entangled in others’ plans, and past supporting characters are back in play. I enjoyed the suspense and action, the humor weaved through the book, as well as the unique elements of the book (Puck, Puck’s drawings, Neema, etc). Kevin Pierce does an excellent job with the narration, especially by adding to the suspense using his voice.
