The Annihilator is a Tier 9 boss that the devs and Oren is afraid of.yet before they meet the Annihilator, the book states that the devs can control any teir 4 or higher boss.That is the whole reason Oren is trying to get to teir 4.
The boss hobgoblin cuts out Both of Orens eyes and 5 minutes later; Oren tricks the boss into freeing one of his hands buy POINTING to a map to show him some boss NPC!!! <— hey thanks for blinding me but let me show you on a parchment map where something is.
Later Oren try’s to level up to teir 2 to be powerfull enough to kill orgres by using the power crystal, yet he is not aloud to until his settlement reaches level 2. but earlier They explained how there are 2 ways to get power points to tier up, one is accumulate it from the settlement OR kill bosses to get their Power! NOT Both! this is how bosses level with out a settlement.
Before that, it explains how the boss has to destroy the graveyard FIRST then kill the boss to get his power points or he will just respawn. yet Oren can just kill the boss and gain powerpoints with out destroying the graveyard.
anyways, that is the major ones I did not like in this story and I am afraid to buy the next one if the writer keeps on this path of his on contradictions
