I was immersed through the entire series. I, probably like most people, loved Mort. This series was superbly written and engaging. There was far more explained than the typical story nowadays. The author was clearly immersed in the fantasy world he created. I recommend this to anyone, even you stodgy autobiography only types.
Hearing that J.S.Morin is an engineer by trade made a good deal of sense. I am also an engineer and have heard the term for complicated systems JFM “Just Freakin Magik” when its beyond an ordinary persons comprehension. The way magic messed with physics is brilliant and made this series stand out doubly for me.
If you happen to have a long drive to work, this will make you look forward to the hell that is a long commute.
