Dylan is seriously one of the funniest people I have read. The sarcasm and relationship he has with Gabe as his boss is great. The snark, laughter, and fun were strong in this book.

Gabe is rough person to work for, but Dylan handles him perfectly. Their work relationship is quirky but it works. Gabe doesn’t believe in being in a real relationship and has strong commitment issues. Their work relationship changes as they become more friendly and get to know each other better on a ski trip, and they later give in to their attraction. They decide to keep their “friends with benefits” relationship a secret especially at work.

Dylan falls hard for Gabe, but Gabe is fighting his feelings and trying not to acknowledge the way Dylan makes him feel. After a big fight where Dylan acknowledges that he will never be what Gabe needs and vice versa, it finally opens Gabe’s eyes to what he’s losing if he doesn’t open up. Them coming together was very satisfying in the end, and I loved watching Gabe’s walls crumble down.

Dylan’s best friend Jude and Gabe’s friend Henry were awesome, and I loved getting to know them. I look forward to reading their books.

I listened to this in audiobook form as a reread, and it was just as delightful. Joel Leslie was a good fit for the characters and did a great job narrating. The snark was great to hear verbally. I enjoyed this just as much the second time around.
