So the main character’s skill only becomes useful after he accidently bought a Superhero slave. So he buys a bunch of slaves. Several are beautiful women. Started to look like a harem fantasy (and it has some of that) but it never went full bore that way and was a very interesting story. It’s hard to explain without giving away more than they must want you to know based on the blurb. Suffice to say that the organization that forms isn’t asex based one and does some really cool things. I’m not comfortable with the “harmless slave owner” idea though and I’ve not sure it isn’t going to be a full fledged harem fantasy in future books, so I dropped a star each from the Story and Overall.
The narration is top notch and I’m intrigued by the mystery and where the story could go, so I’ll be picking up book 2.
