First off, whenever you see Jeff Hays or Soundbooth Theater for narration, it always warrants an extra look at a book. They always deliver awesome performances.

Regarding the book, I was initially a little put off by the description. Two things made me reconsider and give it a try: 1) narration as mentioned above and 2) I have enjoyed other work from William D. Arand. I haven’t the slightest regret at getting this book. Arand creates great characters, each with their own personalities. Many likeable and some less so, and they aren’t locked into absolute morality. Just a word of warning, don’t be surprised if you find yourself wanting to shout “Pancakes!” Along with a certain someone. And yes this story absolutely has harem elements, but it is done well without characters losing their identies as the story progresses. Would definitely recommend.

Pancakes!
