Tried the whole time to enjoy it and really couldn’t. I regret finishing after the first of the three books, as I already knew I wouldn’t like the rest. The characters are shallow and not relatable. I predicted the outcome very early on and there were virtually no surprises. Would not recommend this if you enjoy more complex books such as the spellmonger series or the wheel of time. The series will leave a bad taste in your mouth.
