I was so disappointed in this story. Naturally I listened to the whole story. I really was hoping this book would turn around but it never did. I found myself annoyed with Little’s attempt to delve into the main characters train of thought and rational thought. It seems they just babble. Never did the plot line keep me wanting to keep listening. Instead I became so irritated .I kept skipping forward. ( trust me you won’t miss anything) Maybe it’s me but stories that scare me are ones where the probability of the experience that could actually happen or get inside your head are what grip you and scare you. Ones that keep you thinking of the stories and characters when you are not reading … well this is NOT one of those stories. I don’t want to spoil the story incase you do read so I won’t give too much away but I never understood The Mailman’s motive . No backstory given I didn’t really get a feeling this guy was a ‘Randal Flagg’ ( those who know the character will get it) Nor is he like nut job escaped from the rubber room. This left me confused and not understanding the Mailman’s reasons, origins etc through the whole story. Maybe it was me but I will pass on Bentley Little. I wish I could have this delivery “return to sender”
