Does anybody else not give two flying farts about Alex’s story? It’s a villain vs. villain storyline, both of whom have bouts of decency… I just don’t care about Alex though, so I find myself fast forwarding through his entire portion of the book. He’s predictable and weak (at best). I would rather this entire story be PvE, otherwise, just make a legit good guy vs bad guy story.
Also…and this is what really hangs me up… Why in the hell hasn’t Jason discussed who Alex really is with Arthur? Being as the A.I. has a vested interest in his friendship with Jason, it just seems way too easy for him to say, “Alex is a complete and total psychopath IRL. Please monitor everything he does IRL and in game for me, and protect me from him, because otherwise he’s going to find a way to destroy me in game, and kill me in the real world, and our friendship will cease to exist….
That’s just too simple though, huh?
