You really never know what you’re going to get when you read a book by Bentley little. Sometimes there is a Supernatural influence involved and sometimes it’s just plain old bad guys. This time there was a hint of the supernatural but I don’t think that’s a spoiler because so many of his books take that approach.
I had a couple of issues near the end where I was hoping for one thing to happen and another thing happened instead but what can you do about that? It’s the writer’s choice to tell his or her own story the way he or she wants to tell it. But overall I have to say I really liked the story, the suspense, the unexpected twists, and the fact that I couldn’t wait to get back in the car to listen to this book every day for a couple of weeks. Really enjoyable.
