I have consumed all 7 books in this series over the last two months or so. It’s been a hell of a ride, pun intended…

I was a bit dismayed with this last book. It’s kinda like watching “The Matrix” for the first time in 1999 and then following it with the sequels right after. The story started amazing, but the ending seems forced and uncomfortable. Everything was good until mid-point of book 6, and then I was just like “What? Where are we going?”. The ending closed all the pieces, but there is an entire story-arc here that doesn’t feel neccesary. I get that the author was probably trying to avoid the obvious ending of “Good job, chose one…” but I was kinda looking forward to it this whole time. Redemption is a helluva drug.
