At different times and not together Chaz and Jillian were forced by her brother to watch unspeakable horrors that forever scarred them. Chaz vowed to kill him. Jillian loved her brother until he revealed his sadistic side. Chaz at first planned to use Jillian to get revenge on her brother. However, he soon realized her innocence and need for protection. They quickly fell in love.
Kathy Coopmans does such an excellent job of letting the reader fully understand Chaz and Jillian. Her character development made me want to hug these two just to make them feel a little better. They both have seen the evil side of humans.
Sarah Puckett is an excellent storyteller. She allows the reader to visualize this life of horrible crime as well as love and protection.
I voluntarily received this Audible book in exchange for an honest review. This book does contain triggers so make sure you read the warnings. This book grabbed me from the beginning. You completely understand what Chaz and Jillian are living through and why they seem vengeance. I highly recommend this Audible book.
