I honestly had to force myself to make it through this audiobook. Yes, I read all the sparkling reviews beforehand and the only (and I mean ONLY) reason I finished it was because it was Joel Leslie. I’m sorry, but both characters were extremely and irrevocably unlikeable. They did not redeem themselves at any point in this book. I actually felt cheated at the end and couldn’t imagine going through the sequel and following this cluster eff of a relationship any longer. I should have kept it as a DNF.
