It’s hard not to enjoy this series. Charles Dean has crafted interesting characters, a very deep (if ridiculously named) world, and a game system that feels familiar enough to know how it works, but flexible enough to account for any hairbrained idea that Lee comes up with. The 4th book is every bit as entertaining as the previous 3. It’s probably one of my top 3 gamelit series right now.
Also, it’s Soundbooth Theater, so you know the production kills. If you’ve never listened to any of their works (and honestly how would you not have if you’re reading a review for the 4th book in a series that they did the other 3), do yourself a favor and pick one. It’s unlike anything you’ve ever listened to before!
