That said, I was pleasantly surprised by this audiobook. It doesn’t take itself seriously, and it feels like a summer-time action film full of one-liners and action. It has some meme references, gaming references, and I absolutely love the authors use of colorful descriptions that made me laugh out loud.
I hope the author ultimately makes a sequel that I would insta-preorder, as this audiobook left me wanting more.
I wish Hale’s voice actor spoke a bit louder, but I enjoyed the voice acting in the audiobook.
