This was a very entertaining and enjoyable book. The author pokes a lot of fun at himself and other authors through quasi forth wall breaks that have their own entertainment value. The underlying story was funny, and this is coming from someone who personally hates the battle-royal game type that this book is rooted in. There are plot holes as well as orphaned subjects that could have had more depth, but they did not take away from the story and the fun.
