I really hate to say this, but I did not like this book. I have loved everything Gia Riley writes, but Until We Are Gone felt like a hot, jumbled mess, and that’s not her at all. I felt zero connection to the characters. I hated Meadow. There was building of relationships to explain why things were the way there were. I’m still so confused even after finishing and that ending was so disappointing. I’m going to go on and on about the things I didn’t like, so I’ll just close this out by saying I personally did not really enjoy this book and does not reflect the amazing writing and storytelling by this author.
Sarah Puckett is always so easy to listen to. I really love her voice and I finished this book in one sitting. Even though I didn’t really love the story, I think that if your truly determined to read this book, listening to Sarah Puckett narrate this crazy story is highly recommended. She does a fantastic job.
