I was given this free review copy audio book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

So, although this one was still good, it was not as good as the first 3 books in the series. Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoyed it, but I just didn’t enjoy the struggle between Merciless’ foes as engaging. I would also say this one wasn’t quite as… irreverent, I guess, as the previous books. The whole thing just seemed toned down. Hoping they go back to the formula that made the other books so good next time.
