First of all I will listen to ANYTHING Kevin Pierce narrates. He is the absolute best in true crime. I appreciate his sensitivity to the subject matter. He reads with a great deal of respect for all people involved. I feel the same for the author.

As for the book- this was a hard one for me as I’m a Mom and almost didn’t buy it for that reason. However, it is a great listen.

The women in this story lost their beloved children over and over before it was finished.

I’m not familiar with police work and it seems easy to speculate how things SHOULD be done. But I know it’s not that simple. As for lawyers, their job is to defend, whether it’s for the accused or the state. I sometimes think that people forget this aspect of the law. Maybe I’d feel differently if I were involved directly in something of this nature but I haven’t been and hope I never am.

I think we can all agree on one thing though- anyone who can kill a child is the worst kind of evil.

I I hope the women in this narrative have some peace that they surely deserve. Nobody should have to go through this.
