From the plot summary I was expecting just another typical shifter, love-at-first-sight, Alpha-Meets-His-Omega Mate trope, and I was fine with that. This book wasn’t that. It was SO much worse. This book would’ve greatly benefitted from an experienced editor. Or maybe a good friend of the author’s to honestly point out plot holes, inconsistent/contradictory behaviors of the characters, and just plain dullness in some areas. Add all that to the blatant social justice pandering peppered throughout – often forced into a scene as an awkward non sequitur – made this book nearly intolerable. I’m SO thankful I listened to this as part of the Romance Package and I didn’t waste a credit.

Joel Leslie did a great job, as always.
