I really wanted to like this one. I’m a sucker for urban fantasy and don’t mind erotica if there is a good story to balance things out. That was where I struggled with this one. The story is quite good but there are so many recaps scattered throught the entire thing (not just when you transition from one book to the next) that I actually found myself getting annoyed. I really don’t understand why the author felt this was necessary. I think this could be an hour or more shorter if they just kept to recaps at the start of a new book (which would be totally normal and expected). Anyway, as this is erotica, there is a LOT of sex. I mean a LOT. As I said, though, this is expected because this book is labeled as erotica. Now, here is the truly redeaming thing for this audio book… it’s narrator. Sarah Puckett is really quite good. She is what kept me engaged in this series and kept me going. Not to mention her voice is rather attractive and pleasant to listen to.
