As a fan of mythology growing up I appreciated the authors short reimagining of the tale of Medusa. She turned it into a school melodrama with relatable characters and responses. And because of that tonal shift you could kinda see the end coming but it’s the end I was wanting.
The narration was solid and fit the story well without taking the focus away.
