This installment was Nuttall at his best. The action is high paced and once it starts, you don’t want it to end. The characters are well developed and the story is told from both sides, showing the human toll taken by the individual soldiers and their commanders striving for a fast and easy victory. Wolf Bane has the numbers and equipment, the Commonwealth is dug in and ready to fight for their freedom. Let the meat grinder begin.
