I loved Lionel and Dog, they were such sweet characters overall, that it would be difficult not to love them. I don’t think I would have put up with some of what Dog pulled though. Once, maybe? The second time, no. But overall I enjoyed their story and the ending was everything I hoped it might be. There are some editing issues, including incorrect names used for a secondary character, which is really unfortunate. I have the feeling some people will be bothered by some of the language used, and it also felt like it dated the book somewhat, as in it had a different era vibe to me in a lot of ways even if the tech was current.
Overall, a good read, that points out the importance of communication, without being a “big misunderstanding” and without hammering you over the head. I look forward to reading more by this author.

Audio: This is a case where the narrator took a very good story and made it great. Leslie caught both Lionel’s and Dog’s voices perfectly. He made me live the characters and their story even more. Fantastic.
