Op-tech supervisor, Landry Stanton, can’t seem to get anything to go his way. He has reluctantly agreed to help a buddy retrieve equipment from the wastelands, beyond the relative safety of Earth’s outpost on planet Procyon. Being the only survivor of their crashed shuttle, Landry must outwit the aliens roaming the Procyon wastes before his damaged EVA suit can no longer sustain life. Dubbed the Argoni, these strange creatures have wreaked havoc on Earth and Procyon alike. Can Landry save himself from the harsh Procyon environment or will an Argoni seal his fate? After all, no one at the outpost even knows where Landry went. But a co-worker who’s hoping to take over Landry’s now empty office has a sneaking suspicion that just can’t be shaken…

Clever and down-to-earth, book one of Mark Healy’s Dawn of Procyon series was highly entertaining and a really fun listen. Superb narration by Travis Baldree lifts the story right off the page and illustrates the action in my mind. I’m already looking forward to hearing the next installment which, if it’s anything like the first book, will be a tasty treat for my ears! Well done!

I was provided a free copy of this audiobook in exchange for my unbiased review. Many thanks to the narrator for this opportunity!
