This book involved two main characters who survived an event that destroyed almost the entire human population. August is determined to travel across the US to meet Poe and undertakes the journey. The story is about all the events that happen to these two characters during the 6 months it takes to make the journey.
The female character is overwhelmed with self doubt and the male character is a couch potato who has no idea of the issues he faces in making the journey.
The story line got too involved in the inability of the characters to make hard fast decisions and their physical short comings.
