Not only did this book provide an excellent overview of Chester A Arthur, it also gave an appropriately in depth look at other prominent figures surrounding him at the time; such as Roscoe Conkling and President James Garfield.
In particular I enjoyed hearing the letters of Arthur’s supporter Julia Sand.
