I admit that I listened to the first book in this series three times and read the hardcopy as well. I was worried that the second book may not live up to my expectations. I should have known better! Shemer Kuznits does as wonderful a job with this instalment as with the first. The series has amazing world building and very memorable characters. I’m very invested in the story and can’t wait to see what comes next. Jeff Hayes (along with Annie and Laurie) did a wonderful job with the narration, as usual!
