I love this book! I read a lot of Prepper/ Post-apocalyptic books, and I love that the main characters in 36 Hours are just “normal” people. The characters are not preppers, nor do they have a military background. They are a typical family who uses common sense and is able to prepare, as best they could, in the time they had. I have a lot of knowledge about EMPs, but this book taught me more about solar flares/ CMEs. I love that I was able to enjoy the plot in the book, while also learning at the same time. I feel it portrayed a realistic view of what could happen should we ever be threatened by a CME. Bobby Akart is a fabulous writer who draws you into the story with his creativity, action scenes and well rounded characters. If you enjoy dystopian or post-apocalyptic fiction, this Audible needs to be added to your collection! Kevin Pierce, one of my favorite narrators, brings the words to life. The emotions behind the text comes through his performance to resonate within.
