A great start to a post EMP(?) book.

I’ve read a lot of books like this one, and this book starts out similar to other books of the genre. The hero is introduced, the “event” happens, and the battle for survival begins. The differences cam in the writing and character. Tha main guy isn’t some badass who makes all the right decisions. He is complicated, flawed, and human. I liked him right away. The story is well written, if a little unrealistic at times, and the ending makes you want to know what comes next. I only wish the book was a little longer.

All in all it was a rare treat in a genre that is flooded with copycats and boring, unbelievable books. If you like the EMP/Societal Breakdown genre, younwill love this one.
