As we get to know these families, the reader will care more and more about each of them as they struggle, on many levels, in the new world reality.

From an addiction/mental health RN and non-apocalyptic perspective, it is striking the diminished psychological effects this group exhibits. This author causes me to pause and ponder if some of the PTSD we see in soldiers has more to do with the “normal” they return to, then the trauma they have endured. When working with Vets who suffer with addiction and PTSD I find myself sharing with them, the hope they can heal, because when things go south in our country, they will be the heroes we will need to survive.

Thank you dear author, for stirring these thoughts and I look forward to reading more.
