This is a prequel to Dead Island, but so darn good. I thought SW Salzman did a good job on Dead Island but Andrew Wehrlen simply kills it (Pun Intended)! Honestly, this kind of reminded me of how Fear The Walking Dead is before The Walking Dead chronologically, but came out as a spin off. I think that thought is actually what made this one for me. Hell, this book even takes place in Mexico… When it comes down to it, though, if you love zombie apocalypse stories, you need to get these books.
