ASH – As you should know from reading a little bit about this series Abrahams takes the same characters and puts them in different situations. You do not have to read them in order. I’ve read about the generic fictional character “John” going from book 1-7 in many fictional post apocalyptic series’. By book 3 I know how he is going to react. If I liked his side kick “James” and he dies, he is dead for the rest of the series. Not so in this series. Book 1 works. I’m a fan of the genre of smart people without much training working out an apocalypse situation. This one hit on this while still showing how other prepared people can be ready and a free tricks along the way. I love dogs so the addition of the main characters dog was great. I’m guessing /almost sure the main character in book 1 will not be the main character in book 2, though he will be in it somewhere.

I just finished book 1 and have purchased book 2.

Kevin Pierce is of course the best.
