How does a person write a review for such a horrible, tragic event? Let me just say, this was a wonderful recount of the events as known. (Ugh, that still sounds too upbeat)
Alrighty, let me try a more clinical approach.
Very well written. The addition of diary entries really helped us see the persons involved. Narration, although seemed monotone at first, I quickly realized this was the perfect voice for the main narrator. Zero melodrama, but the pain was palpable.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who remembers this case or any true crime fans. I remember when this whole thing happened; it was disturbing. My neighbor was in the process of divorcing her husband who’s family had a lot of the same traits as the Powell family and we were all concerned.
