Jeff Hays was Jeff Hays. That is to say, he was awesome.
Arand really outdid himself with this one. Perhaps the best part of any book is watching the hero grow. Arand does a wonderful job of ensuring the continuous growth of his hero. I didn’t appreciate him benching some of my favorite characters but I understand that on the whole, it only served to benefit the story he was telling.
